One month down, 23 to go...so far so good
Well I can't believe it's been a month today since I started my 'Cranfield Experience', and so far so good! When I first got to campus for the induction weekend I arrived with mixed feelings: excited about a new adventure and nervous about fitting in with all the 'business folk' ( I work for a charity supporting women and girls and manage the London centre). Turns out I needn't have worried-all those hardnuckle, suited and booted business men and women with 'toothpaste ad', shiny white gnashers flashed in meanicingly confident smiles are creatures of legends...the bunch I met were as tame as could be..better even, they were kind and welcoming with some quite interesting stories and experiences to share (riding a pink Enfield accross the himalayas is one of the stories I seem to remember from our welcome 'speed dating' session).
There are so many thoughts and experiences to recall from the first week, it would take at least 10 minutes to write them all down, but as a busy student with her first essay due on Friday, I simply do not have this luxury of time, so here a few highlights:

There are so many thoughts and experiences to recall from the first week, it would take at least 10 minutes to write them all down, but as a busy student with her first essay due on Friday, I simply do not have this luxury of time, so here a few highlights:
- meeting my learning team (go team Dangermouse!)-a great group of people who you will be hearing more about in this blog, for sure
- Winning the pub quiz (could provide an alternative source of income should student funds start running low)
- Stringfellow Hall has nice rooms-not used to this level of luxury whilst studying
- my laptop (yes it's slow but it's also brand new and shiny!!!)
- a surprising new found love for accounting...?!? (yes, I am also puzzled about this one)
- winning a box of chocs for the worst score in OSC simulation (not sure it should be listed as a highlight, but feeling a real urge to mention that we would have dominated with two extra minutes!:-)
